Retailer Ganly’s of Athlone is Ireland’s largest Homevalue Hardware Store, with a floor area of almost 10,000 square metres. A high-profile showcase building, Ganly’s features a series of separate showrooms and its owners have chosen the mini-duct central heating and cooling system from Unico System to provide both heating and cooling for the store.

HOT SOUND INVESTMENT PAYS COOL DIVIDENDS

Investment banker Mr Hughes likes his music. So he built a sound studio at his home, equipped with the latest kit in which to play and record the sounds of voice and music. The enclosed, insulated environment necessary to produce the best sounds, however, is not ideally suited to having the best air quality and comfort levels. Refrigeration and air conditioning contractors J C Watson were called in to advise and instantly recommended a 10 kW Unico System to provide even, controlled heating and cooling to maintain ideal comfort conditions.

NEW UNIT PROVIDES 20% MORE HEATING AND COOLING CAPACITY

The new MB4860 air handling unit provides up to 20% more heating and cooling capacity than other models in the Unico range but retains the same compact dimensions for ease of installation. It also operates with the same low sound levels. With the same modular design as other units, it includes an upgraded A Frame construction which increases the surface area across the coil. This promotes improved heat and cooling transfer and therefore greater capacity. The MB 4860 is the fourth unit in the range and ensures Unico provides coverage for all popular capacity requirements from domestic through to commercial installations. The Unico System out performs conventional heating and cooling systems by utilising a patented high velocity system of air. It fits where other systems cannot be used as the modular air handler and coils can be installed easily in attics and ceilings with the mini- ducts routed through existing cavities. The air handler is designed to isolate noise and vibration whilst the system’s supply tubes are sound dampened to provide a very low noise system. Click to see typical installation
