NEW UNICO OUTLET RETAINS CHARACTERISTICS FOR COMFORT

The introduction of new, patented 90º slotted room outlets has been announced by Unico System International, manufacturers of the mini-duct, high-comfort central heating and cooling system. These new outlets, designated UPC-67, are designed to turn the airflow through 90º without enlarging the cavities used for carrying the narrow ducting used in the installation. Used in the floor, wall or ceiling, the design is totally unobtrusive and suitable for use in any domestic or commercial interior.

The Unico System provides measurably superior comfort heating and cooling levels by delivering high velocity airflow quietly. As well as ensuring the low noise levels associated with the system are maintained, the 90º slotted outlets maintain the integrity of airflow through a gradual transition to narrow opening at right angles to the duct path.

The UPC-67 is constructed from high quality plastic. Applications include outlets that are near to the edge of a pitched roof, where the wall cavity is smaller than usual or in the cavity between a dropped ceiling and the roof.

The Unico System is particularly suited for central heating and cooling systems in domestic, commercial and public installations where traditional systems would spoil or interfere with design or construction of the building. They are used extensively in period buildings and feature regularly in renovation projects on television, including “This Old House”. Because of its ability to deliver constant temperatures quickly and near-zero noise levels, the system is a favourite with architects who want to give their clients the best without interfering with the look and feel of their buildings.
